In conjunction with 2nd BlogFest.Asia, Tourism Malaysia under the Ministry of Malaysia is organising a contest called “Let’s Blog Penang”.

This contest is open to all blogger who registered & attend 2nd BlogFest.Asia @Penang. What you need to do is just blog about your best experience during your stay in Penang while attending 2nd BlogFest.Asia.

Prizes

1st Prize : RM 1,500
2nd Prize : RM 1,000
3rd Prize : RM 500

Contest Guidelines & Rules

  1. All entry must completed & submitted to jaime@motour.gov.my by 10.00am, 3rd Oct 2010
  2. All entries must blog about your best experience and most memorable experience in Penang during the 2nd BlogFest.Asia (from 30th Sept to 2nd Oct).
  3. Your entry must be your true experience and shall not copy from other blogs, websites or any other materials.
  4. All entries must be in English
  5. Entries that are lewd, obscene, pornographic, disparaging of the Sponsor or otherwise contain objectionable material may be disqualified in the Sponsor’s sole and unfettered discretion.
  6. By participating, you give us the rights to use the story in Ministry of Tourism Malaysia or Tourism Malaysia’s website or other marketing promotions related to Penang & Malaysia
  7. This contest is open to all the registered bloggers who submitted the entry before the deadline.
  8. Announcement of result & presenting the prizes will be on the closing ceremony of 2nd BlogFest.Asia.
  9. Winners must be present to receive the prizes. If the winner is not present, Ministry of Tourism Malaysia will have the rights to replace the winner.

How to Take Part?

  1. Place the  logo in your blog and link back to Ministry of Tourism Malaysia (www.motour.gov.my) website
  2. Post your best experiences during your stay in Penang in your blog
  3. Submit your blog entry to jaime@motour.gov.my by 10.00am, 3rd Oct 2010

Judging Criteria

All entries will be judged by a panel of judges based on the following equally weighted judging criteria  :

  1. Novelty & Originality of the blog entry
  2. Unique Review & experiences
  3. Quality of Audio-visual used
  4. Blog popularity

Note : Decisions of judges are final and binding

  2. Ministry of Tourism Malaysia or BlogFest.Asia committee is not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind.

Ministry of Tourism Malaysia or BlogFest.Asia committee is not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Tourism Malaysia or BlogFest.Asia committee, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or any combination thereof, except to the extent that any death or personal injury is caused by the negligence of the Tourism Malaysia or BlogFest.Asia committee.
  4. Ministry of Tourism Malaysia or BlogFest.Asia committee reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
  5. Ministry of Tourism Malaysia or BlogFest.Asia committee reserves the right to select winners from eligible entries received as of the termination date.
